About Our Club

Imagemakers Photography Club was formed on May 14th, 1980 by a group of dedicated photographers who, following a ten week photography course led by Bruce Berry, felt the need for a group dedicated to the development of photographic interests in Truro and the surrounding area.

The Club has continued to operate ever since.  At the present time, Imagemakers Photography Club continues to focus on the goals of the original founding members.

We have Members’ Nights which are meant as a time for us to share our images with each other.  Members bring images that have been taken on field trips, club events or other images that they consider personal favourites.  Beyond the friendship and fun, there is considerable opportunity to learn.

The club goals are as follows:

  • Connector.

To encourage the art and science of photography.

  • Connector.

    To educate and stimulate photographers.

  • Connector.

To provide opportunities for photographers to practice their art.

  • Connector.

To provide social activities where members can share their joy of photography with others.

Regular Meetings are usually held the last Wednesday of the month at the Truro Junior High School, Young Street, Truro. Room 011 at 7PM
